History of Our Church
“Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvaion from day to day”.
Background
Our church is the first Coptic Orthodox Church outside the Brisbane metropolitan area. It services the Wide Bay Region. Currently, our families are coming from Bundaberg, Hervey Bay and Biggenden.
First Liturgy
The first Holy Liturgy was conducted on Sunday 13/10/2013. We were blessed by Fr Youhanna, who was visiting Australia at the time.
Currently, our blessed Fathers come from Brisbane and the Gold Coast to hold the Holy Liturgies fortnightly by having vespers and praises on Saturday and the Holy Liturgy and Sunday School on Sunday.
On the other Saturday, we have the 11th hour prayers, deacons lessons, Bible study and Sunday School.
With the Grace of God, renovations are currently underway to get the church to be fully operational.
